Total Sentencing Alternatives Program (TSAP) Selects Omnilink Systems to Provide Offender Monitoring Technology

Monitoring Solution Allows 24/7 Real-Time Active Surveillance of Offenders

ATLANTA (October 17, 2007) – After completing a nationwide search for the most advanced electronic monitoring technology, Total Sentencing Alternatives Program (TSAP) selected Omnilink Systems' solution to monitor offenders in TSAP's alternative sentencing program throughout the New Orleans area. A leader in location-based service technology (LBS), Omnilink provides LBS solutions that go beyond the traditional GPS-based offerings to provide the real-time location of people and valuable assets, even where GPS solutions do not work.

Omnilink's offender monitoring solution allows TSAP to track more than 300 offenders throughout the New Orleans area. The system alerts officials immediately when offenders violate the terms of their alternative sentencing programs. For instance, if an offender does not return home by a designated time or enters a prohibited area, such as a school or playground, officers will receive a notice of the violation in real-time, allowing them to take action immediately. Earlier this month, TSAP used an Omnilink offender monitoring device to help authorities locate a juvenile who had escaped from custody in New Orleans.

"We are committed to providing the best electronic monitoring technology imaginable, and through our partnership with Omnilink, we are confident our aspirations are being met," says William Welch, CEO of TSAP. "We are constantly impressed by Omnilink's state-of-the-art technology and outstanding customer service. When you are dealing with offenders, it is reassuring to know the professionals at Omnilink are only a phone call away."

Omnilink's monitoring solution also tracks off-the-shelf cell phones that victims carry to detect when a specific monitored offender gets too close. If such an offense occurs, the victim and designated officers are alerted simultaneously, thus expediting the dispatch of appropriate personnel and allowing the victims to become active participants in ensuring their own safety.

"We are very pleased with the success of the TSAP/Omnilink partnership," says Wain Kellum, CEO of Omnilink Systems. "It is evident that their goals align with ours when it comes to the importance of effective electronic monitoring to the success of alternative sentencing programs."

On Thursday, October 25, 2007 between 5 – 9 p.m. CST, TSAP will be holding an open house for anyone interested in learning more about TSAP and electronic monitoring in the New Orleans area. Omnilink Systems will be participating in the event by providing educational presentations as well as a demonstration of its offender monitoring solution. TSAP's offices are located at 2714 Canal Street, Suite 500, New Orleans, LA 70119.
