Launched today, the Alzheimer's Association Comfort Zone™, powered by Omnilink, is the first comprehensive location management system designed specifically for Alzheimer’s, giving people with the disease more freedom and independence in their community while providing their family some peace of mind. Comfort Zone is a Web-based application that works with various location devices throughout the progression of the disease to proactively communicate the location of the person with Alzheimer’s within two to 30 minutes, based on the family’s selected plan. With one of the largest prison systems in the U.S., Texas, like many other states, faces prison overcrowding issues. To alleviate the strains on the system, Victim Safety First provides alternatives to incarceration in several Texas counties. Today, the organization announced that it is using Omnlink's offender monitoring solution to track the movements of participants in the program.

July 21, 2008 – Omnilink's Offender Monitoring Program Continues Proven Success Amongst the Judicial System in Oakland County

March 25, 2008 — Midland County Texas Uses Omnilink's Electronic Monitoring Solution To Get Students Back In School

February 5, 2008 — Omnilink Systems Announced New Board Member, Dendy Young

Omnilink Systems, a leader in location-based services (LBS) technology, announced today that Dendy Young has joined the company's board of directors. Mr. Young is the Managing Partner of McLean Capital, LLC, a private equity firm focused on government information technology. Mr. Young's thirty-plus years of experience includes a decade as CEO of GTSI Corp., a $1 billion government-focused enterprise services and solutions provider. He founded Falcon Systems, a systems integrator that was sold to Oracle Corp. in 1988 and Falcon Microsystems, Inc., which became a nationally recognized, multi-platform federal reseller and integrator before being sold to GTSI in August 1994.

Omnilink Systems, a leader in location-based services (LBS) technology, today announced the appointment of Wain Kellum as chief executive officer. Kellum will be responsible for driving the company’s strategy and operational execution as it continues its rapid growth in providing location-based services solutions.  Kellum brings over 25 years of experience and a solid track record of successfully building industry-leading companies to his role as CEO.  As the co-founder, chairman and CEO of Extreme Logic, he led the professional services firm from inception to its acquisition by Hewlett-Packard, where it formed the foundation of HP’s applications solution business in the Americas. September 18, 2007 —Las Vegas Corrections Center Taps Omnilink Systems for House Arrest Program

After testing four competing offender monitoring solutions, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department selected Omnilink Systems' advanced wireless offender monitoring solution for the Clark County Detention Center house arrest program.  Prior to implementing the advanced Omnilink solution, authorities could not track offender movements outside the home; they only knew where offenders were located when they "checked-in" their devices at their home bases.  Using Omnilink's advanced FocalPoint 2.0 technology, officers now track the real-time location of more than 200 offenders currently in the house arrest program, and participation in the program is growing. Monitored individuals include people awaiting trial for or convicted of drunk driving and sex-related offenses.

July 9, 2007 —Omnilink Systems Selected by Rocky Mountain Offender Management Systems as Preferred Technology Provider for Kansas Department of Corrections Work

For its winning bid to provide offender monitoring services to the Kansas Department of Corrections (Kansas DOC), Rocky Mountain Offender Management Systems (RMOMS) selected Omnilink Systems as its preferred technology partner.   As a partner with RMOMS for the Kansas DOC, the Omnilink/RMOMS partnership began system implementation in October of 2006 tracking fewer than 20 offenders. One month later, more than 300 offenders were and are tracked by Omnilink's FocalPoint 2.0 system, a combination of ankle devices linked to Web-enabled mapping software that keeps offenders in check.

May 16, 2007 Hale County in Texas Selects Omnilink Systems to Electronically Monitor Juveniles on Probation

Today, the Juvenile Probation Board of Hale County, Texas announced it has selected Omnilink Systems to provide electronic juvenile offender monitoring services for several county youth that are on probation. After relying on landline-based monitoring, which only notified probation officers when offenders were home, Chief Juvenile Probation Officer Eddie Subealdea stated that Omnilink's FocalPoint 2.0 monitoring technology solution allows the Hale County officers to know the location of their assigned juveniles at all times.

Omnilink Systems, a leader in the emerging field of Vital Status Services (VSS), will launch Focalpoint, a Web-based application expected to streamline offender monitoring, at the Innovative Technologies for Community Corrections Conference, June 12-14 in Atlanta. The second component of Omnilink's comprehensive suite of monitoring solutions, Focalpoint is a highly configurable exception-based platform, enabling users to specify the monitoring criteria and receive real-time alerts if exceptions occur, via automated voice calls, text message, pager, email, fax, etc. Focalpoint's inter-operability architecture makes it very easy to integrate the system into pre-existing applications to make the customer's value chain even more effective.
