SENIOR JAVA SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Omnilink Systems is looking for an energetic Software Engineer to join a talented team focused on developing advanced location based services solutions. The Software Engineer will be responsible for server side coding in a high volume transaction environment. He or she must welcome accountability, be goal oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment.
Location- Alpahretta, GA
Job Duties
- Integrate new asset and people tracking devices into Omnilink’s location based services platform.
- Create new software features and architectural changes
- Work on software issues reported by customers
- Create unit tests
- Work with product management to evaluate requirements and new devices
Required Skills
- 7+ years experience using server side Java
- Experience using JMS, Tomcat, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and Apache MINA
- Experience with SOAP and REST web services
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- 5+ experience in Linux (preferably RedHat, CentOS or Oracle)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent team skills
- Demonstrated success with commercial software code in production
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Quartz Scheduler
- Experience with Android and/or Blackberry
- Experience in the Location Based Services field considered a plus
- Knowledge of the telephony industry considered a plus
